Backup Outlook 2002 calendar on Vista 32bit SP2.

I use Vista Home Premium 32bit (SP2) and the Outlook 2002 that came with my
HP iPAQ RX3115. The backup in this version of Vista does not do a disk
image backup but a backup of important files. I want to make sure that my
outlook 2002 calendar is backed up. After I did a complete backup I looked
to see what was on the backup. I found
C:\Users\Bob1\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook.pst on the backup.
Since I found Outlook.pst on the backup, does this mean that Outlook 2002
calendar is backed up? Or do I need to do something else?

Thanks for the help

Bob

Nothing else is needed as the PST file(s) contain your contacts, calendar,
tasks, e-mail, and journal.

I'm curious how you're running Outlook 2002 on Vista and enjoying the
experience at all, since it's not compatible with Vista. At the very minimum,
it must be asking you for your account password frequently.

For email I use vista windows mail. Before that, outlook express. I have
never used outlook for email. I use outlook 2002 for calendar and contacts
only. I sync calendar and contacts with my iPaq. I update contacts in
vista windows mail and then sync with outlook 2002. This way of using
things is a bit cumbersome but I have been doing it this way for years and
do not want to go through the effort and risk to learn to do it differently.
I feel ignorant to admit if I had any problems I would not know it because I
know no other way.

I hope my answer is helpful.

For what its worth, thanks to you and all the other people answering the
questions of poor slobs like me. You people have really helped me with
Microsoft stuff over the years!!!

I can see why Outlook 2002 could work, given what you describe. Thanks for
clarifying.

You're welcome. I, too, have learned a ton from reading these newsgroups.
