Backup in Vista

For some reason "Set up backup" and "Back up computer" are greyed on in
Backup and Restore Center.
Why is this so, and how to correct it?

Hi,

Run services.msc and see if the Windows Backup service (SDRSVC) is running
or has been disabled.
