In XP Home the ASR Floppy Disk does not work . It will
NOT
backup to a CD. You can back up to a folder on your
hard drive then burn it to a CD. The native program in XP
will not span CD's though.
You can cheat it with a packet writing program like Roxio
Direct CD (comes with Easy CD Creator ) Or Nero
InCD or DLA You then use a CD ( will not Span cd's) or
DVD's (4.7+ gb) to back up too.
Yes. It is on your xp cd. I can't remember where though. Search for .msi
files and I think on your windows xp cd is a file called backup.msi. I could
be wrong though. Try searching and post back. Happy holidays.
Please don't yell at us. We can hear you if you type normally, in
mixed case.
Backup is installed automatically on XP Professional, but not on
XP Home. If you have the complete XP Home CD, find backup on the
CD, in \ValueAdd\MSFT\NTBACKUP and install it yourself by
doubleclicking the file ntbackup.msi.
