Backing up/merging files

OK, so I'm new to backing up files on Windows. (XP SP2)

My music program (iTunes) automatically sends purchased/newly copied songs
into a library file. I backed it up once on an external 160-gig hard drive
but want to add the new songs.

How can I do that without copying the whole library -- duplicates of the
songs I've already backed -- to the ext. hard drive?

You might want to take a look at this free program from

Thanks to both of you. I think I'll try out the freebies from Microsoft since
its a Windows issue.

Okay. Now I'm searching for NTBackup, because I need to do this same thing.
Any tips on where/how to get to NTBackup?

Backup is installed automatically on XP Professional, but not on XP Home. If
you have the complete XP Home CD, find backup on the CD, in
\ValueAdd\MSFT\NTBACKUP and install it yourself by doubleclicking the file
ntbackup.msi.

If you don't have an XP CD, you can download ntbackup.msi at
http://www.onecomputerguy.com/software/ntbackup.msi
