Background size on a template master

I would like to use a whole picture as template background, but got problems
to get the correct pixel size, so the propotions is relative to orign photo.
I want to use 72 resolution, but what dimesion should I use? I want to apply
the picture via
Background/Fill Effects/Picture

72 isn't a resolution, it's a ratio, assuming you mean DPI.

Forget DPI, work out the resolution (in pixels) of the screen or screens you'll
likely be giving the presentation on. In other words, the monitor resolution.
Most often that's 1024x768

That's the size you want your full screen images to be.
In pixels.
