Hi I need to reinstate Windows XP and i dont want to loose
my stuff how can I back up my file.. at the present time I
cant get into window it crashed I guess...

There are many variables to consider but your best bet might be to use
Knoppix Linux which is an operating system on a CD.
It runs without a hard drive.
Knoppix can view and move files around on your hard drive.
It can probably even create a partition for that purpose.

Using NTFS file system is more difficult to save files from.
Would suggest to use Fat 32 in future.

Insert your Windows XP CDROm and boot your machine from
the CD, then select repair.
You shouldn't lose any of your work as only the system
files will be repaired.
