Opening EML Files

If I install Office 13 on my windows 7 Pc will I be able to open EML files on my ext HD....I have Office 2007 at present and I uploaded lotsa stuff from my XP system to a HD and now when I try to open files and stuff they changed to EML files and I cant open them...

EML files are generally e-mail files, is that what you were expecting them to be? I don't actually think you can open EML files with MS Office, but you can open them with Windows Live Mail (which is end of life, but you can still download it for Windows 7 here:
