Jesse

I just bought a AxisPad GamePad.
When i plug it into the USB Port it installs it fine,
When i install it from the CD it seems to install fine.
But when i go into Game Controllers in the Control Panel
and select GAME ELEMENTS GAMEPAD and push Properties I
get this message: "This program is out of date !"
I remove it and install it again, but it doesn't fix it.
The maker of the controller's site is gone (Interact)
No drivers are available for download.
So can anyone help me fix this problem?

-Jesse

Hi Jesse,

I would unplug the Axispad, Remove the software in Control
Panel / Add or Remove programs and then reboot the system.

Install the program (if it's written for XP) again, and then shut
down the system, plug in the Axispad and restart the system.

If that doesn't work, and you're still prompted for recent drivers:
download these: http://www.input-drivers.com/drivers/87/87334.htm

Hope that works for you Jesse. Let us know if you need more advice! :-)

I'm having a terrible time getting a gamepad controller to work.
I plugged the controller into the USB port, installed the drivers from
the CD, went to Control Panel, Gamepad, Properties, and made sure that
all the buttons work in the Properties test box; then I open SNES9x
and disable all mapping for Joypad #1 (the keyboard), select Joypad #2
(this #2 is the gamepad controller, right?) and map them all according
to the SNES9x README so they all show white (correctly mapped),
load a SNES game ROM which shows Checksum OK (white code),
but still none of the buttons on the gamepad controller will work for
any SNES game! I can't even start any game with the "Enter" button on
the gamepad! Can you tell me what I'm doing wrong?

Windows XP
SNES9x emulator
Gemini AxisPad FX gamepad controller USB

Hi Brian,

Wherever you got the "if you need more advice" quote from
had nothing to do with SNES9x as that's not one of my fortés.

Unfortunately I cannot assist you, however I'm sure someone
else who uses SNES9x will be able to assist you, or you may
find some assistance at the SNES9x.com website and forums.
