My other computer is a laptop, a Toshiba Portege running XP Professional. The problem I have is that the Delete key seems not to be working so when I boot up and get to the Ctrl Alt Del screen I can't log on. Is there anyway to bypass the Ctrl Alt Del or am I stuck till I get it fixed

I can't use a standard keyboard as an alternative as I only have USB ports on the laptop and can't immediately lay my hands on a keyboard with USB connector

Here is a registry hack:

1. Add a new string value named 'DefaultUserName' and set
it to the username you wish to automatically logon as.
2. Add a new string value named 'DefaultPassword' and set
this to the password for the user entered above.
3. Add a new string value named 'DefaultDomainName' and
set this to the domain of the user. (Omit this if your not
logging into a domain.)
4. Add a new string value named 'AutoAdminLogon' and set
it to either '1' to enable auto logon or '0' to disable
it.

Exit and restart, Windows should not ask for a password
and automatically show the desktop of the user.

Doh!
I guess the reg key would help...

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows
NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon
