ctrl-alt-del

I can't input ctrl-alt-del to access Windows XP. When I
press them, nothing happens. How can I get around this?

Why are you accessing WinXP by pressing Ctrl-Alt-Del? If that's what it
takes then you have a major problem.

I am using XP professional and when I boot the system, a
Windows screen pops up and says to press ctrl-alt-del to
access the password screen. I have no idea why it says
this but I want to get rid of it!!! Any suggestions?

Ok. If it ignores you pressing those keys at this point I'd wonder about
trying another keyboard myself.

Because either a setting has been changed on your computer, or a piece of
software has been installed which changes the setting.

start --> control panel --> user accounts --> change the way users log on
and log off. Ensure that "Use the Welcome Screen" is ticked.

I don't see how you got "major problem" from a perfectly valid XP
configuration?
