AVG Free--- query

How do I change the scheduler??? It seems to automatically schedule updates
and run every few days. I would like to update and run it manually when I
want to in lieu of AVG doing it automatically.

How do I shut this feature off (I can't seem to find that option!)

Double click the update icon.

Uncheck the update immediately box.

In Control Center click the small scheduler box.
In large, bottom scheduler box, select "scheduled tasks".
In the new window, select "edit schedule".
In the new window, uncheck "periodically check
for internet updates"

But in AVG7/free, I think you can only change the time.. but not the daily
aspect of a scan schedule. Unless I misunderstand what the OP is asking
about.

To totally stop the scheduled item, in AVG Control Center, selet 'Scheduler'
then down the bottom click "Scheduled Tasks", then in the schedule window
you can highlight the relevant schedule (i.e. update) and click "Delete"

From AVG Test Center you can customise some of the setting of the Complete
Test, which is what the scheduled test uses, but it seems that AVG7 isn't as
flexible as AVG6 was, another reason I think AVG6 was better than the
'update'!
