AVG free 7.5 = NO resident Shield

Starting January 15th if you have a earlier version of
AVG free, like 7.1, it will stop functioning and Version 7.5's
features will take over if you upgraded.

Version 7.5 free does not have a resident shield available making
AVG free practically useless.

To check this out remove AVG 7.1 and then install 7.5
See what you end up with. AVG 7.5 free can only manually scan.
No auto updates. No scheduled scans .NO RESIDENT SHIELD.

You may be right. I am going over my installation and trying to see
how it is that my former installation of 7.5 free said in the resident
shield section that it was not available in the free version of AVG.
Nor auto updates or scheduled scans.

After re-installing7.5 free everything is working. It may have had
something to do with the registration number. I really don't know but
it is working now.

I don't understand....All the same features are still there...Resident
Shield...auto update and auto scanning...all able to be scheduled.

Checked My WinME and Win98SE installs of AVG 7.5.and the resident shield is
active.
