How to make AVG update service work properly in Windows while no user is logged in.

If you buy AVG anti-virus or use the Professional Trial version, you
may notice that AVG only updates when you log in. This is very bad for
protecting servers, and in other situation where a user logs in to the
machine sporadically. (and Grisoft should correct this behavior.) But
until that day, here's the workaround.

(Note: This doesn't work in the free version.)
Open up AVG Control Center > AVG Scheduler > New Schedule.
Create 3 new schedules.

Options for each schedule:
-Check 'Schedule for all users'
-Uncheck 'Action to take'
-Check 'If missed, run task on computer start'.

1. Update1
-Schedule: Update
-Schedule Options: Priority

1. Update2
-Schedule: Update
-Schedule Options: Optional Update

1. Update3
-Schedule: Update
-Schedule Options: Recommended Update

Finally, make sure the AVG service is configured correctly:
Start > Control Panel > Administrative Tools > Services > AVG7 Update
Service >
(check) General Tab > Startup Type > Automatic
(uncheck) Log on Tab > Local System account > Allow service to
interact with desktop (Must be UNCHECKED)

Enjoy,

Ed

Why are you attempting to make a Client/standalone app run on the Server??
