Autosearch help

Chris

I had the autosearch feature set up for google through
Search > Customize > Autosearch Settings, but it just
does a search on the term and pops up a "The page cannot
be displayed".

I have tried:
<keyword> results in http:///? <keyword>
? <keyword> gives http:///? <keyword>
go <keyword> gives http:///? go <keyword>
find <keyword> gives http:///? find <keyword>

I have scanned with both AdAware 6 and Spybot S%D. I
have cleared out all the detected programs, yet the
problem persists. I have also tried registry tweeks, but
they have been only sucessful in changing the Search page.

Any help is appreciated...Thanks.

Hi Chris,

You might want to re-merge the default.reg key back and see if your *normal*
search assist is restored.

If no joy, considering you have run Ad-aware and SpyBot try this.

Go to:
http://www.spywareinfo.com/~merijn/files/hijackthis.zip

Unzip, double-click "HijackThis.exe" and Press "Scan".

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log"
button.
Click: "Save Log" (generates "hijackthis.log")

Next, HijackThis | Config [button] | Misc Tools [button]
Click: Generate StartupList log [button] (generates "startuplist.txt")

Next, go to the below location: Spyware and Hijackware Removal Support.
http://www.spywareinfo.com/forums/index.php?s=8a236cdf61469fbad3bddbe810be0374&act=SF&f=11

Sign in, then copy and paste both files in your message.
