Autorecovery + saving

M

Maladroit

My pc has become forgetful in its dotage...

I first noticed that I'd lost my Favourites in Outlook + also couldn't save
any new ones. Then I tried to import Favourites and I couldn't identify (or
create) a place to save them to. By the way I can save Google as a homepage.

Next I found that when using word I couldn't Save or Save As, these
resulting in nothing, not even an error message. The only clue so far is that
after a time I get a dialogue box which simply states "Saving the
Autorecovery File postponed for (e.g. Document 1)"

I've tried playing around with vitual memory etc without success.

er that's it.

tvm in advance etc

Maladroit.

You're asking about Outlook and Word in a newsgroup for Windows XP.

P.S. When you post your question in the correct newsgroups, don't forget
to tell the people which version of Outlook and Word you are using.

To Leonard Grey - lighten up - what is being described sounds like the start
of an OS problem.

To Mal-
First question - do you have antivirus protection.
