I'm having an issue with my DVD drive and the AutoPlay
feature. A program called Inter Actual 2.0 excecutes a
setup wizard when i insert a DVD into the drive.
I have already set the properties of the dvd drive to
AutoPlay WinDVD. I also checked the "File Types" and
WinDVD is selected to play DVDs.
So, why does the program Inter Actual 2.0 want to setup on
my system??
im running XP Pro SP1a, on a Dell Inspiron 5100.

any assit here whould be greatly appreciated.

Hi Ac,

Thank you for the posting. As you indicated a program called Inter Actual
2.0 excecutes a setup wizard when you insert a DVD into the drive. You
have already set the properties of the dvd drive to AutoPlay WinDVD and the
"File Types" and
WinDVD is selected to play DVDs.

Based on your description, this issue is caued by the Inter Actual 2.0
program. Regarding this issue, we are providing you with the following
suggestions:

Suggestion one: Remove Inter Actual 2.0 program

Go to Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs and remove the Inter Actual Player
Choose to remove the player and all it's components. If WinDVD is removed,
you can then reinstall it.

Suggestion two: DVD upgrade

1. Click Start, and then click Run.

2. Type "dvdupgrd /detect" (without the quotation marks), and then press
ENTER.

After you run the "dvdupgrd /detect" (without the quotation marks) command,
any detected DVD decoders are listed with either a "yes" or "no" to
indicate that there is or is not an upgrade available from the
manufacturer. To upgrade your DVD decoder:

1. Click Start, and then click Run.

2. Type "dvdupgrd /upgrade" (without the quotation marks), and then press
ENTER.

If that does not work, you can type ¡°dvdupgrd /forceupgrade¡± (without the
quotation marks), and then press ENTER.

You will be directed to the manufacturer's Web site where the upgrade is
located. Follow the instructions on the Web site to obtain and install the
upgrade for your DVD decoder program.

If an upgrade does not exist or if there is no DVD decoder present, please
obtain and install a decoder that is compatible with Windows XP. For more
information about decoder providers, please view the following third-party
Web sites:

InterVideo (WinDVD):

http://www.intervideo.com

Hope the above information and suggestion helps and answers your question.
If anything is unclear, please let me know.

Sincerely,

Cherry Qian
