Automating "Remote Assistance" in XP

Hi all,

I am new to windows. Please point me to the correct group, if this is not the
correct one for my question.

Windows XP offer "Remote Assistance" functionality under the "Help and
Support" center, where you can invite an "Expert" to help you. One of the
options you have is to create and save the "invitation file" and later send
it to the "Expert" via e-mail. , once the "Expert" receives it and
double-click on it he/she can connect and control the PC where the invitation
was created.

What I am trying to do is to automate the above process using scripts. The
script is suppose to collect from the user all the data required by the
different forms in "Remote assistance", then automatically create the
"invitation file". I am not able to find an API or sample scripts that can
help me
in this task.

Does any body have any suggestions, pointers to Windows API or sample
scripts that can help me in achieving this task?

Thank you very much in advance

Cheers,

Hi Robert,

Thanks a lot for your reply.

Yes - I was aware of the other options (sending by e-mail or MSN). What I am
actually trying to do is make it easier for the client to send the
invitation. My idea
is to automate the process where the user will be presented by one form to
enter
the required info and then behind the seen create the "invitation file" and
send it
automatically by mail to the "Expert". By doing this the client will not
have to go through multiple forms to ask for help.

Cheers,
Hassib
