Automatically Logon

Don Pomeroy

Just brought up XP Pro.

Every time it comes up it shows my name and asks me to select the login
name.

How do I get it to automatically logon and startup. I'm the only user of the
system so there's only one account.

Thanks.....

Hi Don,

Start/run "control userpasswords2" (without the quotes).

Uncheck the box requiring a username and password, click apply/ok and follow
the prompts to set up a default logon.

Many thanks to the responders.
I'm being dragged kicking and screaming into XP from Windows 2000.
The jury is still out on whether it's a good decision.
I have to say it's different!

Thanks again... Best wishes for the holidays!
