Automatically advance slide after transiition

Using PowerPoint 2003 is there any way to automatically advance the slide
show after an animation?

The duplicate slide trick won't work for my situation. On one slide there
are several motion path animations triggered by a click. After the last
animation, I would like to transition automatically to the next slide.

One way is to have a 99% transparent shape appear "with previous" to the last
animation. Give this shape a mouseover action of "next slide"

This works best in kiosk mode or if you press ctrl A at the start of the
presentation to make sure the pointer is visible.

You cant have on click animation in kiosk but there's a trick you could
adapt probably here

This will be for a live presentation so I'm looking for a way to
automatically transition to the next slide without having to take any action.
The next slide is actually a duplicate of the first slide only in its final
(after-animation) state. The purpose of this construction is to break-up
long animation sequences into smaller, more manageable sequences.

Is there any kind of event associated with animations that could be
monitored with an event-handler in VBA?

There are events you could use (assuming you know how to use events) eg
slideshownextbuild, but it wouldn't be easy.

You said there were triggered animations? You may not have understood that
the animation to trigger the next slide could be automatic, it need not
require a further click.

Aaaaaahhhh... I get it now. The 99% transparent shape covers the entire
slide, so when it appears the mouse-over event occurs and triggers the
transition. Pretty clever.

You'd think, though, that Micorsoft would have added a "next slide"
animation to their collection of exit animations. (But there I go agian,
thinking logical and rational.)

Actually adding slide transitions to the animation timeline can be added to
this forum as a suggestion. I'd vote for it if you care to add it.
