Automatic Updates

I have had the same message twice....... Your Computor is being
Updated...and a big file..... I have no way of knowing by whom (except
automatic updates icon)..... The computer shop took off Zone Alarm but
according to norton security Center I have an inbound
Firewall............????????????

If you see Norton Security Center instead of the native XP Security
Center than Norton is the firewall. Ensure that the Windows Firewall is
disabled by going to Control Panel > Windows Firewall
If should be marked as Off.
Which version of Norton 'whatever' is installed ?

Also, go back to Manage and this time check the Services and
Applications > Services
Make sure that there is no listing for VSMON, which is part of
ZoneAlarm. If it's present, Disable it.
