My PC set for automatic updates enable. Today got big update, Cumulative
Security Update for Internet Explorer for Windows XP (KB918899), for Outlook
Express, etc. Problem is that at the same time there are run Internet
Explorer that downloads a big file, and I can no interrupt this, also other
IE windows opened. After updates has been downloaded and installed, popup
alert constantly ask for reboot. Each time I press 'Restart later', since
can no interrupt downloading..
Could this parallel work to be a reason of downloaded file damaging, or
incorrect installing of updates?

Doubtful. After installing one or more updates that require a reboot, you
will be prompted to reboot every 10-15 minutes until you do so.

If this is too bothersome or you think it may be causing problems with other
downloads, you may want to consider changing your Automatic Updates (AU)
settings to Notify Only or Download But Do Not Install.

Specifically, could the simultaneously installing of updates and downloading
file cause any problems or errors? (for example damage file or incorrect
installing update, etc)? Even if update logs show all updates has been
installed - but this means nothing. I was forced wait when a restart alert
will appear, and each time press "restart later" button, to able finish to
download a big file..

Thanks.
