automatic startup

Every night at 12 midnight my computer startsup. Task
scheduler is not running. I have turned off my internet
modem. I can't figure out what causes it to start.

Any help would be appreciated

Some computer motherboards have a BIOS feature which allows for timed
start-up.

The BIOS settings of many computers can control such
things as starting up the computer at specified times.
Perhaps someone is pulling a prank on you and set this?

Access to the BIOS is done on starting up the computer
before the OS loads. It is accessed by holding down a key
or keys. Each manufacture is different. Some common keys
or: Del, Esc, F1, Ctrl-Alt-Esc. It may tell you on boot.
Once in look for something under the heading of Power Mngt.

There is noting that I can find in BIOS that would start
