Automatic section headers

Hope this makes sense:

I work on a document that makes references to maps (i.e. Map 2322). I need a
title in the header to reflect that the current page in the document
discusses Map 2322. The discussion of 2322 may end on the next page, and then
map 2323 is discussed. I need 2322 and 2323 to appear automatically at the
top of that page, as both these maps are discussed on this page.

Is there a way to use Fields or section names or paragraph styles or
something so that the header is automatically updated? I need the automation
as the document is constantly revised, and it would be nice to not manually
change the header on every page. Thanks for any ideas.

Look into the StyleRef field. You would apply a special character style to
your map numbers (with no different formatting).
