I've been having problems with my video driver that I downloaded from
Nvidea's
web site after installing xp on a clean hard drive. The problem occurred
twice. The
first time I had disabled the Automatic Restart and was presented with the
BSOD
and xp identified the dll that was the culprit. The second time it happened
I left the
Automatic restart enabled and the computer would restart or it would totally
stop
responding. This second time Rick Rogers, aka "Nutcase" - Microsoft MVP was
kind enough to check a log file for me and tell me that it identified the
same dll that
was causing the problem the first time. My question now is how should I set
the
Automatic Restart. Seems to be a bit easier identifying the problem by
leaving it
disabled and triggering the BSOD.
Thanks,
James
