Automatic clip detecition

Michel

Hello,
I have to import a long dv-avi file with no (or no non-continuuous) time
stamps in it (the dv-avi file is an export of TMPGEnc), and I would like MM2
to detect clips.
My question: how to (if possible) force the "analog" clip detection method
(apparently in use on wmv files) to be used on a dv-avi file?
Thank you in advance.

Thank you.

With DV-AVI files Movie Maker *ONLY* uses the time stamp breaks for clips.
There isn't a way to force it to use the "analog" method used with other
file types. A possible work-around is to import the DV-AVI file into Movie
Maker and drag the single clip to the storyboard and then save a movie file
to WMV format (using the 2.1 MBPS profile) and then re-import that file.
