yar

I have just started to get an error message when XP pro sp2 starts.

It tells me that the autoexec.nt is the wrong version and it will not run
dos and some windows programs.

I have copied over from another machine and replaced it and it all works,
but I still have the problem when I reboot the machine.

Please help.

I have scanned for viruses.

go to start then search and type redirect do you see files named redirect
2,3,4,5,6,7

Hi (again),

Also try setting the attribute of that file to read only so that XP doesn't
delete it !

1. Right click the file and select properties
2. Tick the Read-only box
3. Click on Ok

Regards,

Tim
