Autocorrect not replacing word when typed.

I set up a replacement in autocorrect options so that if
I type a word in an e-mail, it will replace it with
another word. I have the option "Use Autocorrect when
Word isn't the e-mail editor" checked, and "Replace text
as you type" checked. However, if I make "Word" my e-
mail editor, it does replace the word automatically. Any
idea why this feature doesn't work? I'm using HTML
format for my e-mail.

Hello we search also for a solution. We use all three formats, plain, rtf and
html. With plain and rtf we can youse the Autocorrect Option, with HTML it
dosn't work. We use Outlook 2003 with SP. The Problem is within the englisch
and german version.

Autocorrect doesn't work with HTML formatted messages and the outlook
editor - only plain text and RTF. The HTML editing engine they use with the
Outlook editor doesn't support autocorrect.

It works if you use Word as the editor.
