autochk program not found - PC is keeping reboot

Hi,
I have download Norton systemwork standard edition upgarde.
After starting the process I received a message that the setup is unable to
remove prior version.
I clicked the link in the error message and was redirected to symantec web
site where I have download the product removal tool. I have reboot my machine
but could not get back into my desktop. After the windowsXP appears I saw a
quick message saying "autochk program not found - skipping AUTOCHECK" and my
PC is keepinging reboot since then.
Please advise.
Regards,
Yigal

Hi,
I saw in one of the links usage of "Windows Recovery Console"
Can you tell me what this is and how I use it.
Thanks,
Yigal

The Recovery Console is a Command Console, sort of a command prompt that you
can boot to instead of Windows to try to repair things. "Microsoft
recommends that you use the Recovery Console only after Safe mode and other
startup options do not work." However there are some commands that are
available in the Recovery Console that are not available in Windows. And
there are some things that can only be fixed from there. And if you cannot
boot into Windows it can fix some things so that you can.

If you have Goback, see this on how to disable GoBack and then uninstall
