When I try to load windows I get this message followed by a fatal error
message.
I get this even when I try to use any of the advanced options ie safe mode.
There is a resolution for this on the microsoft knowledge base Article ID:
913502 but it requires you to load the start up disk whilst you are in
windows, and I can not get in.
Any suggestions

If you put the Windows XP CD in the CD-ROM drive and start the computer,
can you boot from the CD as if you were installing? If so, let it run until
you see the option to get into the Repair Console. Then run fixboot and
fixmbr .

HTH :)
