AutoArchive Not Propagated to New Folders

When I create a new folder in Outlook 2003, its properties on the
AutoArchive tab show "Do not archive this folder."

Why doesn't it default to "Archive items in this folder using the default
setting"? Is there anything I can do to make this the default for new
folders?

Thanks,
Joseph Morales

Joseph...no answers, but a similar question. I find what you did. Also,
every folder I've ever created has that situation, and so I'm trying to
"reset" the autoarchive capability. Did you solve your problem? If so,
can
you share please!

No, I haven't found any solution, alas. It seems almost unbelievable that it
should behave this way.

I have not tried autoarchive yet. When I do, will it archive the messages
in my separate folders to separate archive folders, or will it dump all of
them in one big archive folder?

The former.
