Hello,

Currently I am using Tweakui for its auto logon, and it works fine for the
first login. But, if I let my system go into screen saver and I goto
re-enter XP, the logon icon appears and I have to click on it to enter. I
would like to get rid of the logon icon completely. I am the only one using
this system.

Thanks JR

Two places to check

Right click your desktop and goto Properties
Then goto your Screen saver tab
Uncheck On Resume, prompt for password

Goto the Control Panel, then Power Options
Goto the Advanced tab and uncheck "Prompt for password when computer resumes
from standby"

that should fix your issue.

I had an Xp Pro box which just would not keep the setting from Tweakui. I
would set it, click apply and close TUI. restart and it would work OK, but
an hour later if the computer was rstarted it would prompt for password. Go
back into TUI and the field would be unchecked.

I finally discovered if I deleted or disabled all the other users, including
guest, then did RUN - CONTROLPASSWORDS2, clicked on users must enter a
password, applied it, then unclicked the same field it prompted me for a
default user and password, and subsequently held its setting and worked just
fine.

Right click the Desktop/Properties/Screen Saver tab, look at the options
for your Screen saver and also Uncheck the "On resume, password protect"
option.

Also in the Monitor Power settings using the Power button. Look on the
Advanced tab, and the Options section, uncheck the "Prompt for password when
computer resumes from standby" option.

This doesn't sound right, Norm. You must have other issues/edits/tweakers
involved here or you weren't following the process as needed. If you would
like to troubleshoot this, I am game. :o)
