Logon Script Won't Run with Auto Logon

I am struggling to figure out the following issue.

I have a Windows XP Pro machine that is in a Workgroup and have it setup to
Autologon as a user that is in the admin group. I specified a logon script
for this user in the User Profiles properties but the logon script does not
run when the computer is restarted and auto logs in. The script runs fine
when the user logs off and logs back in.

Put your script into the folder c:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start
Menu\Programs\Startup.

Won't this run the script for all users who login? Here is what I am trying
to do:

-Image computer
-Auto logon as temp user
-Logon script will rename computer > change logon script > restart
-Auto logon as temp user > diable auto logon > join domain >delete all logon
scripts

Put your script into the chosen user's Startup folder instead of "All
Users".
