Auto Insert Notification:Turn off?

Auto Insert Notification: In winxp, When I insert a disk
in a zip drive to do my backup from within my application,
a window pops up displaying the data on the the zip disk.
I am told by Iomega that this is as OS feature that can be
turned off in the registry. Xp installed the drive so it's
not Iomega stuff. The drive is listed under device manager
as storage volumes as generic volume.
I have tried modifying autoplay tab on properties, to no
avail. Can anybody tell me how to turn this off in the
registry? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

start>run>gpedit.msc...under computer configuration tab click administrative
templates and then the system folder, u will then see "turn of auto play"
You need to enable it and turn it off for all drives

Use TweakUI - one of the XP Powertoys from (if you have installed XP
SP1)
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/pro/downloads/powertoys.asp

If you have not installed SP!, the earlier version can be found at
http://download.microsoft.com/download/whistler/Install/2/WXP/EN-US/TweakUiPowertoySetup.exe

Once installed you will find it in Start - All Programs - Powertoys for
Windows XP

Use its My Computer - Autoplay - Drives section to uncheck (And hence
disable) on the specific device. You are better with it on for CDs, and
certainly for CD burners, where turning it off may give difficulty in
handling a blank disk
