Auto Forwarding to External Mail Addresses not working

Have Rules setup within Outlook 2003 to forward mails with Excel attachments
to External and Internal e-mail addresses. The internal recipients receive
the mails OK but the external Users do not. However if you forward a mail to
the external address manually with attachments it works OK. Has anyone else
encountered this problem, is there a fix or is it a known problem?

I have tried the recepients in Rules as individual Users from the Contact
List and also as a Distribution Group, neither works.

Ask the admin if they have forwarding to the internet disabled.

Thanks for coming back so quick, where could this be checked from?

Also, we have been able to forward manually but not under Rules Wizard, any
help greatly appreciated.

The admin needs to look in the ESM (on the server) - it's in the global
settings section.

I have an identical problem but I am using a stand-alone machine with
stand-alone version of Outlook 2003, no server is involved and I am the
administrator.

Are there any settings which can be changed to allow me to forward to an
internet e-mail address?

I can't think of any particular thing that would prevent it in an Outlook
configuration you describe. What are the symptoms? By the way, a server
MUST be involved. You can't send or receive mail without a server. It
doesn't have to be an Exchnage server, but there must be one nonetheless.

I have a rule set up (in Outlook 2003) my wifes business account to forward
mails to my personal account. The rule attempts to forward the messages but
they are not sent and I recieve an internal administrator message telling my
wife that the mail could not be delivered to the specified account.

If the e-mails are sent manually there is no problem.
