Email forwarding rules

Hello,

I am using Outlook 2002 with an Exchange 2003 server on Windows XP Pro
clients.
When I set a rule to forward email messages I receive to another internal
recipient (same domain & mail server) the rule works just fine. But the rule
doesn't work if I try to set it to forward to an external recipient. Is this
by design?

Thanks....

Yes, it's by design. Unless enabled by your Exchange admin, Exchange will
not autoforward or autoreply to external addresses.

I doubt your company wants your host to be used as an public relay
through their network. Talk to your Exchange admin.
