After our IT dept. loaded eTrust anti-virus software on
bosses laptop, IE6 no longer performs auto-dial on his
default dial-up connection from home. The connection can
be started manually, and then IE can be started, but
starting IE first results in a partially-loaded window and
an hourglass that never goes away. Also. closing IE does
not bring up the disconnect dialog box......the connection
has to be closed manually from the system tray.
I don't know if the anti-virus software is the culprit,
but it seems like quite a coincidence since everything was
working fine before. Anyone had this problem and find a
fix?
