Auto complete stopped working

I have Outlook 2000. I love the auto-complete function for completing email
addresses. But it stopped working. The appropriate boxes are checked under
Options to enable this feature. Why is it not working now? It can't seem to
find the address book ...I think. HELP!

You have a bit more explaining to do.
Outlook 2000 has no such feature.
Explain why you think it does and what it is you think has stopped working.

Sorry, I meant Outlook 2002. When you start typing in an email address, it
looks through your address book and auto-completes the address. It stopped
working.

No it doesn't. It uses a cache of names to which you have already sent
messages, not your Contacts data. Have you sent enough messages in your
current profile to have populated a large cache? Which option did you
enable?

Yes, I have sent plenty of emails. I did just recently download and install
the latest update. Could that have "reset" my cache or caused the problem?

It might have or it might have corrupted your profile. If you have a corrupt
profile, autocompletion will stop working. Try creating a new profile and
then wait a while to repopulate your cache.
