Audio transfer and recording problem

I have successfully transfered my raw movie from my camera to mm2 on my computer (Sony miniDV via Firewire). Each clip has perfect video and audio when I play just that clip. If I tie more than two or three clips together the audio problem begins. After dragging all the clips to the Storyboard and adding transitions, titles, etc., is when the audio problem surfaces. When I play the completed movie from the story line the audio begins fine, but after a couple clips the audio begins to drop out and doesn't keep up with the video portion of the movie. Every so often it will come back for a second or two, but then drops out again. When I record it to a cd it does the same thing. My computer Dell Inspiron 5100, Pent. 4 (2.4), 512 ram, XP Home. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hello There,

There are two ways I can recall for dealing with this...

1) Take each clip and make a DV-AVI file out of it. Then re-import them and
carry on with your original project.

2) Zoom in on each video clip and trim off the smallest amount possible
from the beginning.

I realize that both seem implausible, they have both been used in this
newsgroup with varying success. I have used the first one myself in Movie
Maker and other software with a lot of success. Its almost as though Movie
Maker corrects the information in the clip.
