Audio Skips with Titles

During playback of movie files saved as DV-AVI on computer, the Audio skips
or drops in/out at the beginning of end of titles. I think the video jidders
a little, too.

Anybody else have this problem or found a way to fix?

Hello,

One solution would be to run it through without the titles and then run the
new movie through and add the titles. There may be a small amount of
degrading if doing it to a DV-AVI file...more if you are making a WMV
though.

Its not likely to be a system performance error as none of it is time
dependent. But it could be something to do with file types. What are the
types of file being used at the locations where you have the problem?

Hi John

I am using a .wmv file then adding titles and audio in MM2. Playback is
fine when previewing the movie in MM2. However, the saved movie file has
audio glitches where the titles start and stop, whether in DV-AVI or .wmv
format.

I've tried adding the audio in my DVD authoring program (Nero), however,
the problem still occurs.

Disclaimer: This is my first movie project. I have no previous experience
to draw upon.

Thanks

Found at least one way to fixed this problem:

I eliminated the audio glitches between titles simply by filling the space
between titles with blank titles. With no gaps between titles on the tilte
bar, the audio now flows smoothly on the final saved file.

Hello,

From what you say it sounds as though the audio file is the problem rather
than anything in Movie Maker. I don't think you mentioned the format of the
audio files. If they are MP3 it may be worth converting them to WAV files
instead...it might be worth doing that anyway.
