Audio Problems

I recently went from Windows XP to Vista and I have no sound out of my
laptop, unless I hook up my external speakers.

It indicates that no Audio output device is installed.

What do I do, or where can I go to fix this problem?

Cheers,

Visit the support web site of the manufacturer of your
laptop computer and search for the Windows Vista
audio driver designed for your specific laptop model.
Once you find the correct file, download and install it.

you could also try running Windows Update, they often release drivers there,
maybe your soundchip is in there as well...
