Audio problems WMM Sony HC20E DV AVI

I have saved a project in WMM, sound recorded at 12 bit.
I tought I could overcome the known issue of distorted sound quality by
saving the project file as AVI from WMM project file=> Mpeg2 =>DVD... but the
sound is still of very poor quality when I play the AVI-file... :-(

Is there anything I can do to save my old tapes (now I record in 16 bit) to
DVDs in MWM or do I have to switch to another program?

Try rendering to a high quality WMV file and check the audio... if that's
usable, add the audio of it to the DV-AVI file in another project, saving to
DV-AVI.

Hmm... I changed the settings in the camera to 16 bit and I still get the
robotized, distorted sound... know I really dont know what to do. Can anyone
help?

WMM sound orks just find..! ;-)
So, I copy that sound, open a new poject, import the AVI-file, insert the
WMM-file sound save as AVI or...?

How do I copy and insert just the sound track??? ;-)

Ok I now know how to do that but... heck it takes me such a looong time...
I wil have to switch over to another program, what about AVID... will I
still have the same problem? :-(
