audio problem

Hello,
I hope there is someone out there that can help me with
this problem. I share a computer with family members,
and there is an audio problem they we are encounting when
we are in a chat room, there is an echo with the audio.
Sounds like you are in a tunnel. Can someone help me
solve this problem? It is driving us nuts. All help
would be greatly appreicated. Thanks swtpea2

Thanks for reply, but I am a 55 year old grandmom who has
the problem with the computer, everyone I asked are
clueless regarding this problem, if you could please help
me with this problem I would greatly appreciate it. How

What type of sound card is in the computer? If it's a Creative Labs Live!
or Augity then you will have to change the EAX settings.
