Audio problem

I am posting for someone else. They`re having audio problems, when
they play a DVD or video the sound comes across as having an echo or
sounding like the sound in a large building with very poor acoustics.
Is there a way to rectify that since the speakers seem ok.

1. Standard cure for hardware-linked errors is to remove the
device (audio card) from / Control Manager / Device Manager
then reboot, and follow the prompts to reinstal its (newest
or up to date) drivers.
2. If this fails to cure your friend's problem, he must repost
with adequate hardware and software details.

Look in sound options ( for the program) and see if there are
different acoustic sounds .
