Audio Playback Problems

Hello All,

I'm having a problem with my DVD/CD burner drive. It works fine except when
I play audio cds (burned or originals). The playback keeps skipping and the
tempo is also slowed down some. Audio files on the hard drive do not do
this, just when I play cds in the drive. I've tried updating all drivers,
checking for device conflicts, reinstalling the drive, PIO and DMA, and just
about everything I can think of with no result.

Here is my system info: Intel core 2 duo E6300 cpu, 1 GB OCZ memory, 250
western digital hard drive, Samsung DVD/CD burner, MSI Neo-F P965 motherboard

I would greatly appreciate any help or tips.

Thanks

Thanks for you reply TaurArian, but it doesn't just do it in Windows Media
Player. It does it in any audio player I try. I've tried Winamp and
Realplayer with the same result. I've also tried the fixes on that link.
