Attempting to print causes PC to hang

Hi Folks,
Help on this will be appreciated. When I attempt to print
from any App. my PC hangs for more than 20 mins. I
thought it was an App. issue - Autodesk Land Desktop or MS
Word, but when I try to access the printer, e.g. from
Start, Settings, Printers, the PC hangs instantly. Even
when it begins to respond after at least 20 mins, any
further right clicking on the printer to view it's
properties causes it to hang all over again. I have
installed SP3 and then SP4 but no change. The files
themselves are definitely ok as I have shared my data
folder and have no problems printing from either NT or
Win2k on my colleague's PC's. I have checked also to
ensure that the latest drivers for the printers are loaded.
Any ideas ??

I take it that you are running Win2K as your OS. Have you
tried openning up you task manager before you run the
print request. That way you can see how your cpu
utilization is doing. The other issue is virus running on
your pc - have you scanned it recently?

Good luck!
