Attachments stripped in transit using outlook 2000

I have a strange problem where on some machines the attachments when
forwarding an email are not arriving. I have seen knowlegebase articles
mentioning outlook 2000 and word 97, but we are only using word 2000.

Sometimes when the message is sent , the sent items copy is blank and the
receiver only gets a blank message, I think it might have something to do
with HTML?

Any one come across a fix for this?

Make sure your senders are using plain text or HTML format rather than Rich
Text.

You're right, there is an issue using Outlook 2000 and Word 97 as the email
editor, it does strip attachments out to non-Outlook users.
