Attachments drop off of my emails

I'm using Outlook 2000
Emails are arriving to recipients without the attachments, or with a ".dat"
attachment.
It doesn't seem to happen to all recipients.
I'm using XP home.
any ideas.

Try changing the outgoing email format. Go to Tools, options, mail format,
send the message using HTML format. It should work. Try it and let me know.

Mitesh- I tried it and it worked! I'm hoping the problem is now
permanently solved. Thanks for your help!
