As a trancient upgrade to my conf, i expect to change the mother board to MSI K8TNeo2, and later upgrade the video card.
In the interim is it possible to install an old ATI expert@work (AGP 2X, 3,3 v) as graphic card ?
Thak for yout advise.

Yes, but you won't like it.

I know that it is not a good solution, but I just want a temporary solution. But the specs of MSI K8TNeo2 says only support for AGP 4 and 8 X, not 2X. Is there any slot or signal incompatibilities ?

Nope. The K8T Neo2 has a 1.5 V slot, keyed differently. The card won't
physically fit.

FYI, early video cards like the ATi Rage Pro/XL and 3dfx Voodoo1/2/3 didn't
benefit from AGP at all. You could have gotten a PCI version back then
without sacrificing any performance.

From experience, this mobo (and most other newer boards) will not post with
a 2X AGP card, whether or not you are able to fit it into the slot.
