ATI Radeon & Windows XP

I'm running on Windows XP Pro with all of latest updates
loaded and recently upgrade to ATI Radeon 9600. However,
as soon as I loaded the Video card driver, the system
hangs during boot up (right after the initial XP screen
and just prior to the Login screen). The screen goes
black but the monitor light remains green as if it's
receiving good signals from the computer. The only way
to get out of it is with the reset button. Downloaded
the latest drivers from ATI, and it still doesn't work.

Please help and thanks in advance.

Did you follow the installation instructions form ATI exactly? If you
deviated from their installation instructions at all, then you must delete
everything and start from scratch. Be sure you read the installation
instructions in their entirety and follow them exactly when you reinstall.
