Dual monitor on Radeon ATI x550 getting confused

Hello,

I don't know whether this is software or hardware. I have a x550
Radeon in dual monitor mode with two identical LCDs from Princeton
(1919). This is on windows XP pro with all latest patches applied.

Everything works perfectly, no flickering, nothing but what happens is
that the primary and secondary monitor swap every once in awhile.
Perhaps up to 5 times per day. I'll be using it, the screen will
suddenly black out and reappear, and now the displays are switched.

When I do identification "1" and "2", this has also switched.

I've tried newest Catalyst drivers from ATI, tried using older drivers,
updated my BIOS, etc

What is weird is just prior to this I was using two monitors that were
different on the same exact system and it was working fine.
Individually both of thse princeton monitors work perfectly. It's just
when they're together on same system that I'm seeing this weird
swapping problem.

Any ideas that I should try? I've written a support ticket to ATI and
any searches I have done on this have been futile.

Here's a thought, switch Video connectors between them the next time it
happens.
